Kafgar KR-60 Industrial Roaster for a Coffee Plant in Morocco (2025)
In 2025 a large coffee producer in Morocco that also runs cafés installed a Kafgar KR-60 industrial roaster in its coffee plant. The KR-60 roasts 60 kg (132 lb) per batch and up to 180 kg/h in 12–16 minute cycles. A loader feeds green coffee into the roaster, so the line runs without manual lifting.

Why a 60 kg roaster
The customer produces coffee at industrial scale and supplies its own cafés as well. The plant needed one roaster that keeps up with production volumes during a normal shift, without moving to a much larger footprint.
At up to 180 kg of green coffee per hour, the KR-60 covers that volume with about three batches an hour.
Line layout: loader and roaster
Kafgar supplied the KR-60 together with the loader that lifts green coffee into the roaster hopper. Operators no longer carry sacks to the hopper, and each batch is charged the same way.
On the roasted side the batch drops into the air-vacuum cooling chamber. A destoner and an afterburner from Kafgar can be added to the same line when the plant needs them.
