Kafgar KR-10 Shop Type Roaster From Croatia to Australia (2018)

In 2018 one of Kafgar's first customers bought a KR-10 shop type roaster (10 kg / 22 lb batch, up to 30 kg/h) while living in Croatia. The roaster worked in Croatia first, then moved with its owner to Australia. The owner later became Kafgar's distributor in Australia and also roasts on a second, red Kafgar roaster.

The customer

In 2018 a coffee entrepreneur living in Croatia ordered a Kafgar KR-10 for a roasting business. It was one of the first Kafgar roasters installed outside Türkiye.

The KR-10 is a 10 kg drum roaster with PLC control, available with gas or electric heating. Approved values for the KR-10:

Delivery and installation

The KR-10 was delivered to Croatia in 2018 and roasted there first. When the owner moved to Australia, the roaster went too: it was shipped across the world a second time and kept working.

Today

The customer later became Kafgar's distributor in Australia. The owner also has a second Kafgar roaster, a red one built in the Kafgar factory, and uses it to roast the coffee sold from the owner's own coffee van.
